Waka Nusa Resort, on Nusa Lembongan Island just off Bali's
eastern shore, is a romantic resort on an enchanted island.
The uncomplicated but uncompromised architecture of polished
woods, natural floors and the distinctive alang alang roof
transport you in comfort and style to another place, another
time. Each bungalow is set in private gardens planted with
tropical flowers.
All
rooms in the Waka Nusa Resort feature a private balcony, ceiling
fan, shower bathroom, mini bar with refrigerator and telephone.
Nusa Lembongan is situated 12 kilometers East of Bali. The
volcano ( 3.1000 meters ) and because of its isolated location
and limited infrastructure, the Island has been preserved
from the growth and progress that has evolved in Bali over
the last ten years
Romantic nights on an enchanted island, sleeping under a
blanket of a hundred thousand stars, lulled by the trade winds
in the palm trees and the distant breaking of the surf on
a coral reef. Your tropical island fantasy come true on the
romantic island of Lembongan, just across the Badung Strait,
you can go snorkeling to a coral reef, visit a typical Lembongan
village, explore the marine life in a glass-bottomed boat,
or go surfing on three of Bali's most famous breaks : "shipwreck,
Lacerations and Playgrounds".
Waka Nusa Resort has 10 bungalows built amongst a palm tree
plantation edging the white sand beach of "Tanjung Sanghiang"
a turquoise lagoon and coral reef with the "Segara"
temple and its centuries old Kapok tree as its setting. The
architecture is inspired from the romantic round shaped buildings
familiar to the Eastern Indonesian archipelago and a lot of
the South Pacific island. Materials used are in harmony with
the natural landscape and local tradition; Thatched roofs,
Coral and earth pigmented wall rendering, fine wood joinery
and traditional decoration. During your stay at the resort,
you will observe that the bay is a very active island port.
Local perahus bringing everyday to the islanders building
materials, food supplies, animals and of course tourists,
the fishing boats are sailing away every morning around 2
AM and back by 7 AM. At the end of the day, the local people
have a traditional "mandi" ( shower ) at the village
baths located behind the Resort before joining the usual cockfight
in front of the temple at 5 pm.

Room Information
We don't have air conditioning, intercom, TV set or telephone
in the rooms - Waka Nusa we think different than most of the
hotels in Bali. The resort is designed to blend in with the
beauty of the islands culture but with comfort and security.

Dining & Entertainment
Waka Nusa Resort has two different type of restaurant base
on the overnight guests (may need the privacy/ personal attention/
quieter) and the Day-cruiser guests just in the lunchtime.
The hampers furniture set up is amazing everyone to share
theirs vacation stories. We do set up the breakfast and the
dinner at the front edge of the resort (beach front). In the
morning while you having breakfast we offers a panoramic view
of eastern Bali and the majestic silhouette of Mount Agung.
In the evening, you will see the multiple lights of the houses/
buildings of Gianyar to eastern Bali featuring the coming
night and the famous romantic dinners under the stars. The
meals are mostly a combination of wonderful Balinese recipes
and some more east meet west familiar dishes. We do any particular
request such as vegetarian, children meals, excursions and
birthday or else.
Swimming Pool
The main pool is located in the middle of the guest activity
area with tiny three round lotus shapes with 0.5 meter, 1.5
meter, 2.0 meter depth each round. The water is salty, keep
cool in the daytime. It may give you the opportunity to feel
the cool breeze while lay down on a pool chair under the palm
trees on the white sandy ground-yard. Having light meal, reading
book and sunbathing are the favorites things that you can
do in this area.
